Delores Sleadd : Marketing & Publicity

Hi! My name is Delores Sleadd, and, by God’s grace, I am a grateful Place of Hope alumnus. I arrived at POH in July 2005. Like practically everyone here, I came after losing a long, miserable battle with alcohol and drugs. It took me losing everything to realize that I needed help. God, in His mercy, heard my prayers and opened the door for me to come into treatment class. After finishing treatment, I chose to remain in Columbia and start over. God has faithfully provided for my every need above and beyond anything I could have expected. He not only provided for my basic needs, He also made a way for me to finish my education. I finished my Bachelor Degree in December 2008. Then, in January 2012, God heard my prayers and opened the door for me to work full-time at Place of Hope. Finally, the greatest and most precious thing that God has done is restore to me my three children. My life verse would have to be Deuteronomy 32:39… “I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear me and that all will then go well for them and for their children after them.

Terry Davidson : Admissions Coordinator

“I’m Terry Davidson, an alcoholic.” Terry was born and spent her life here in Columbia, TN. She has 4 daughters and 6 grandchildren and was a single parent during most of her daughter’s raising. Terry has worked in and/or managed convenience stores for almost 20 years. She admits that she came to Place of Hope for treatment and while she was here, God changed her life. He delivered her, renewed her mind and set her free. Terry states God placed a desire to stay and work here and she has been on the ministry team since March of 2007 and currently is the Admissions Coordinator. She says that POH gave me hope, so I try to pass that same hope on to others. Terry’s favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11.
