There are many different types of ministry opportunities for individuals who would like to volunteer.  Below are a few options, but these are not exclusive.  If you believe you have been called to assist in this ministry, please contact us.

• Interns:  If you are a college student, we accept some types of internships at Place of Hope.
• Missionaries:  We welcome interest from missions organizations to volunteer.
• Site maintenance
• Counseling
• Homeless outreach
• Transportation
• Cooking

Many times we are asked what someone could do to help the place of Hope with practical things.  Therefore, we have compiled a list of ongoing items in order of greatest need:

• TWIN MATTRESSES!!!  New or gently used, please.  We are in desperate need for more beds!
• Toilet paper, paper towels and napkins (always a GREAT need)
• 33 gallon trash bags
• Bath towels and wash clothes (for the incoming homeless)
• Copy paper and Post-It-Notes
• Black pens and spiral notebooks
• Large string mop heads
• Gallon size Ziploc bags
• Commercial size aluminum foil and film wrap
• Dish soap and liquid hand soap
• Large plastic glasses for tea (dishwasher safe)
• Brooms and dustpans
• Plastic storage containers (assorted sizes with air-tight lids)
• 1 gallon pitchers for juice/tea
• File labels to date leftovers
• Cereal bowls
• Pine cleaner, Windex and Cleanser
• Paper plates and plastic cutlery
• Laundry soap
• Toner cartridge refill for laser printer (Brother DCP8045D & Lexmark E210)
• Ink cartridge refills for printers (HPdeskjet 920c & Canon PIXMA iP1600)

There are also a few larger items that are needed:

• Business quality fax machine
• Laser printer
• Business quality copy machine
• Van and vehicle repairs/maintenance
